Money Matters
Money and credit are important elements of our everyday lives. In this academy students will learn to apply mathematical skills as they become members of a virtual community. They will be responsible for finding a job they are qualified for, creating a budget, paying bills and making monetary life decisions as they learn to apply their thinking and mathematical skills in real life situations.

**During STAR testing the Gifted Learner program will only meet sparingly. Students are to attend GL class if it does not interrupt their test preparation.

*Wed. May 8…walking field trip meet at 11:00 in the GATE room. Students will be walking to the Costless Shopping Center to complete their mathematical activities. Bring a sack lunch to eat while walking and students are invited to bring extra money if they wish to buy a snack at the grocery store. All parents and guardians are invited to chaperone if they so desire. We will return to the school by 2:00pm.
